The first workshop will focus on understanding low vision and blindness in the workplace. We recommend this workshop be undertaken by anyone which can include HR and general managers, frontline staff and anyone who wants to begin at looking at how their employment policies, processes and workplaces can be more inclusive and accessible. We have put together an action packed workshop which will provide you will a solid foundation and the right skills to be a disability employer of choice whilst creating a safe and inclusive workplace. What we cover in this workshop: Diversity in the workplace Etiquette and communication tips Orientation and mobility training An "I'm not sure how to ask this, but..." Vision Australia provides services for people who are blind or have low vision. A person is considered to have low vision when they have permanent vision loss that cannot be corrected with glasses and it affects daily functioning. Low vision can affect people of all ages and can have an impact on many aspects of a person's life. It may result in falls and cause problems recognising faces, reading the newspaper, dialing the telephone or seeing road signs.
