Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognise, understand and manage emotions in ourselves and others. It is divided into the four clusters of Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness and Relationship Management (often referred to broadly as ‘people’, ‘interpersonal’ or ‘soft’ skills). Daniel Goleman, a leader in this field, has identified that successful managers and leaders sustain heightened levels of emotional intelligence.

The Global Emotional Intelligence Test, created by The Global Leadership Foundation, is made up of 40 questions in total and can provide an insight into some of the areas you have already grasped and those that need improvement. Note that Vision Australia has no administration or ownership of this site and that the content may pose some difficulty to access for those who are blind or have low vision.
