Sydney Writers Festival recordings

This year the Vision Australia Library commenced a partnership with the Sydney Writers Festival. We were honoured to host Trent Dalton discussing ‘Gravity Let Me Go’, and Mick Herron discussing his latest Slough House instalment ‘Clown Town’.

We were privileged to welcome our library members from across Australia to enjoy our live events, both in person and via our livestream from the comfort of their own home. We are proud to extend the invitation to experience this world-renowned festival to all our members who were unable to join us live.

Our first author, Trent Dalton is a two-time Walkley Award-winning journalist and the international bestselling author of Boy Swallows Universe, All Our Shimmering Skies, Love Stories, Lola in the Mirror and Gravity Let Me Go. His books have sold over two million copies worldwide.

Trent Dalton is discussing his latest novel, Gravity Let Me Go. Our second author, Mick Herron, is a critically acclaimed British thriller novelist, best known for his Slough House spy series, which was adapted into the Apple TV+ series Slow Horses. Mick writes witty, character-driven espionage stories that focus on office dysfunction, often described as a mix of John le Carré and dry, biting humour.
