Vision Australia Library is delighted to welcome back the talented Andrea Rowe to lead our members on a four-week creative writing workshop.
This is an exciting course for those looking to explore new ways of writing, as they embark on their own personal writing journey. This is the ideal workshop for those looking to write short stories, essays or articles of personal reflection.
Andrea will assist you in discovering and developing your own personal writing style, using inspiring prompts and helpful ideas. She will provide author insights and practical examples to get those creative juices flowing!
About Andrea Rowe
Andrea Rowe is a best-selling, award-winning picture book author. Her picture books ‘Jetty Jumping’, ‘In the Rockpool’ and ‘Amid the Sand Dunes’ were all awarded Picture Book of the Year across a variety of categories.
Andrea is the 2025 inaugural Public Libraries ambassador for Victoria, a May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust Fellow, and a late-night book reader.
Many of our members will remember her facilitating our popular Let’s get creative with Fiction Writing program in March 2025. Our attendees found her coaching style energising, informative and motivating. The perfect writing coach for those needing a creative check-in, to boost your personal writing style and confidence.
Who is it for?
Our Creative Writing Workshop is open to Vision Australia Library members aged 18+. This is a free introductory course, running over four weekly sessions from 1-2.30pm AEST.
Sessions run on Zoom Wednesday, June 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2026.
