Preparing for employment and meaningful participation

Dr Karen Wolffe video series

Vision Australia has partnered with renowned career counsellor Dr Karen Wolffe to produce a series of videos to support children and young people who are blind or have low vision to prepare for employment and meaningful participation.

In separate videos for children and young people, families and carers, and service providers, Dr Wolffe provides advice on a range of different topics and key skills for children and young people to develop, or be supported to.

Schedule - School holiday program (Term 3, 2019)

Day 1: Nature and Sport

Gardening, mapping activity, goalball and table tennis.

Day 2: Excursion to National Gallery of Victoria (NGV)

Excursion to NGV with a special activity.

Day 3: Sports

Participate in a variety of accessible sports: cricket, soccer and Swish (accessible table tennis).

Day 4: Art, music, sport and café outing

Live music, art, and accessible table tennis. Cafe outing for morning tea and order from a braille menu. Menu with prices will be sent in advance during the week.
