Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

In the program for the week of October 6, it’s World Sight Day and then more on employment. The CEO of Vision 2020 Australia, explains the purpose of World Sight Day which is on October 9 and highlights some of the many activities in support of the day. Then we continue the examination of that major issue for many who are blind or have low vision, the search for meaningful employment. We here from a Vision Australia employment consultant about he and his colleagues can make a difference for people seeking work. Then, we hear a first-hand account of that struggle for work upon vision loss which reached a very satisfactory outcome.

Program participants are:

  • Jennifer Gersbeck, CEO of Vision 2020 Australia;
  • Paul Roberts, an employment consultant with Vision Australia;
  • Erlinda Reid, telling the story of her change of career following vision loss.
