It’s Macular Degeneration Week and Peter Greco chats with Vision Australia client June Campbell. The 92-year-old was initially diagnosed with dry macular degeneration, the most common form of the condition and one which involves a very gradual loss of central vision.

In 2010 however June had a bleed in one eye and was diagnosed with wet macular degeneration and a very sudden loss of vision. As a result, June could no longer read or drive a car and she experienced a diminished sense of independence. June takes us through the two diagnoses and the services and measures available to support her through this time which allowed her to regain her independence and her vibrant social life. Peter Greco also interviews the Client Communications Advisor at Vision Australia and the new producer and presenter of Talking Vision, Stella Glorie.
