Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

In the program for the week of October 14, participants continue the discussion of moving about when blind or having low vision, to coincide with our celebration of International White Cane Day. A Vision Australia Orientation and Mobility Specialist explains how he and his colleagues can assist people with achieving their goals of negotiating the environment. Also, two people inform us how the dog or cane along with other aids can enable them to get to where they want to.

Participants this week are:
  • Malcolm Fraser, Orientation and Mobility Specialist with Vision Australia;
  • Tonia Baker, a Seeing Eye Dog user from Mildura in Victoria;
  • Barry Chapman, a long white cane user from Burwood in New South Wales.
Also this week, Frances Keyland from the Vision Australia Library, previews another title in Reader Recommended.

You can listen here to the program or go to the Talking Vision web page for broadcast details, an outline of past programs and links to the associated audio.
