Session 1 - Learn about the nine different features of Seeing Artificial Intelligence

Session 2 - Surfing the internet on your iPhone or iPad

  • What web browsers exist for the iPhone and how accessible they are
  • Tricks for navigating a website quickly
  • Creating and accessing bookmarks to your favourite web sites

Session 3 - Managing calendars on the iPhone or iPad

  • Creating appointments
  • Changing appointments
  • Setting reminders
  • Using calendar to calculate travel time for appointments
  • Using Siri to manage your calendar
  • Creating recurring appointments
  • Adding appointments from text messages to your calendar

Session 4 - Getting to know the GPS on your phone - Google Maps and Apple Maps

  • Learn to navigate the GPS apps
  • How to get directions to where you want to go, including which bus and train to catch
  • Work out how much an Uber will cost, all within the app
  • Discuss issues around GPS, accuracy and things to beware of

Session 5 - Using your mobile phone as a video magnifier

  • Did you know your smartphone can make a very powerful video magnifier?
  • Looking at some of the apps that allow this feature, and why you might consider this over a separate portable video magnifier

Session 6 - Siri and Siri shortcuts

  • We will get to know Siri, what it can do and how to create basic Siri shortcuts

Course D: Making Microsoft Windows easier to see (Windows 10)

Session 1: Familiarising yourself with Ease of Access Centre

  • Exploring magnification options within Microsoft Windows 10
  • What can you achieve with Windows Narrator?
