The 16th Annual General Meeting of members of Vision Australia Ltd (“the Company”) will be held at 3.30pm (AEDT) on Thursday, 29th October 2020. Registration will commence from 3.00pm.
Due to COVID-19, we have decided it is safer for us to conduct the meeting differently to our usual gathering. The meeting will be conducted with the assistance of technology, a process that has been endorsed by the regulators during the current congregating constraints. We have chosen Zoom as our preferred platform.
If you reside outside Melbourne and you are not able to connect by computer or phone to the meeting, a video link of the meeting will be available at the following Vision Australia sites whereby members will be able to observe and participate in the meeting via live video streaming.
Should you attend a Vision Australia site for this purpose, please be aware you will be required to comply with COVID-19 screening and protocols and social distancing rules.
Do not attend if you are unwell or have cold or flu-like symptoms (even if only mild).
If you are planning to attend, please make sure you confirm this as we can only accommodate small numbers on-site given congregating constraints, and we will need to discuss COVID-19 requirements with you before you attend.
We will not be providing food and refreshments, in the interests of minimising risk to attendees.

If you wish to attend the AGM via Zoom please RSVP by 16th October 2020 with your email address to the [email protected] or phone 03 9864 9394 so that we can register you for the meeting. You will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Questions and queries
To the extent possible, members who wish to raise queries or seek information at the Annual General Meeting are requested to provide their queries in writing by 23rd October 2020.
This will enable properly researched replies to be prepared for the benefit of the members attending.

Video streaming
Members who are unable to attend the meeting via Zoom or at one of the video linked sites, are invited to observe the Annual General Meeting through remote access via their computer, by logging onto http://agm.visionaustralia.org and following the prompts.
Members who access the video streaming remotely via their computer will be able to follow the meeting using this method but not interact.
Appointment of proxy or attorney – General
If you are unable to attend the AGM and wish to appoint a proxy or attorney (who need not be a member of the Company) to attend the meeting on your behalf, please contact the Company Secretary on [email protected] or phone 03 9864 9394 to request a proxy form or form of power of attorney.
Please note that in order to be effective the completed form of the appointment of the proxy or attorney must be received by the Company at least 48 hours before the scheduled commencement of the meeting, namely 2.30pm (AEST) 3.30pm (AEDT) on Tuesday 27thOctober 2020.
