Eligibility

There are some criteria, such as a minimum number of hours you are able to work each week, that need to be met in order to be considered eligible for employment support services. It’s also helpful to have developed skills such as independent travel and assistive technology skills before seeking employment. For more information, speak with us on 1300 84 74 66. 

Finding a job

In addition to the essential skills required by employers such as literacy, communication skills, problem solving and teamwork, you will also need to develop skills such as the ability to use assistive technology and be able to travel independently. Our team of experts can support you to develop skills to become job ready. 

My current job

If you are concerned your job may be at risk because of your vision condition, Vision Australia's employment consultants can support you by improving lighting, supporting you to navigate your work environment and modifying or identifying new equipment and training so you can continue in your role. 

Funding

Some services are funded by the government and some will incur a cost. There are funding options available to you to help cover these costs such as the NDIS. Speak with us about your funding options on 1300 84 74 66.
