How to be safe in a digital world

Overview

Using the internet and email can be a great way to access information, keep in touch with family and friends, shop and even pay bills. But it’s important to be aware of safety issues that can arise, and be able to minimize and avoid those risks.

Delivered by our Access Technology Specialist, this four-part program, will show you how to identify and protect yourself against scams and cyber crime, and how to be safe when using the internet.

Remote Learning and Development

As many schools and other facilities face extended or intermittent closures due to COVID-19, it’s important that parents and educators have the necessary knowledge and resource to ensure children who are blind or have low vision are not disadvantaged.

Vision Australia has compiled a range of resources including videos from educator, researcher and parent Melissa Fanshawe, available support services, government advice and free online resources to support parents and educators.
