Join like-minded adventurers as we explore Howard Smith Wharf and Brisbane’s River Walk.
Hosted by Orientation and Mobility specialist Bashir Ebrahim OAM and Dr John MacPherson from the Department of Main Roads and Transport, this Travel Day experience will give you the opportunity to travel via public transport to the venue where you will explore the hospitality precinct that boasts cafes, restaurants and places to sit and enjoy the river’s edge. From here you will learn about the area’s history before moving on to explore Story Bridge and New Farm via the floating boardwalk.
All travel days will require you to be of a moderate to high level of fitness. You are welcome to bring a companion if you wish. There will be the opportunity to stop and purchase lunch, but please remember to bring a hat, sunscreen, water, PPE and anything else you may need.
Travels Days may be covered by your NDIS plan, My Aged Care funding, or can be privately funded. Please contact us to discuss your payment options.
Bookings are essential as places are limited. Events will be guided by Australian Government guidelines regarding COVID-19 protocols and safety.
To book your spot, please email Bashir Ebrahim at email@example.com or call us on 07 3727 2345.
