It's never too early to arm yourself with knowledge and tools to support your child's learning and employment journey.
Now in its fourth year, Careers Sampler brings children and young people who are blind or have low vision their families and educators together to hear from a range of people about pursuing and achieving learning, employment and career goals.
Hear from a keynote speaker and a panel of people who are blind or have low vision who will share their employment journeys, including the challenges they faced and how they overcame them.
Keynote Speaker
Damian McMorrow is Vision Australia's Access Technology Product Owner. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Information Technology from Griffith University, Damian McMorrow has spent over 24 years in the IT industry in a variety of roles, from running his own adaptive technology business, through to managing technical and service delivery teams across the education sector.
During this time, he has relied upon adaptive technology and equipment to help overcome a wide range of barriers and issues.
Damian then brought his experience and passion for technology to Vision Australia, previously as an access technology specialist, where he assisted clients in the use of technology for work, education, travel and leisure, and currently as national Access Technology Product Owner, which is the lead role for our Access Technology Service.
