Event Description
In this 6-week video conference group, facilitated by a transdisciplinary team, teenagers will discuss a range of topics decided by the group. Topics might include friendships and relationships, study, growing up, recreation, getting around, identity, and the future.
Teens will extend their social circle, asking questions of and providing answers to each other, nutting out ideas together, and feeling understood by one another.
Facilitators will support the group to explore in a safe space, making sure everyone participates in ways they feel comfortable to do so, so each group member gets lots out of the experience.
Who's it for?
This group is for teenagers aged 15 to 18 who are blind or have low vision and live anywhere in Australia.
Where's it happening?
The group will be held via zoom video conference. Participants need access to a computer, tablet or phone that is connected to the internet. Group facilitators will send through a link to enable participants to join, once registration is finalised.
When's it on?
Dates: 6x Tuesdays from 21 February to 28 March 2023. Participants are asked to commit to attending all sessions.
Time:
- WA: 5:00pm to 6:00pm
- NT: 6:30pm to 7:30pm
- QLD: 7:00pm to 8:00pm
- SA: 7:30pm to 8:30
- VIC, NSW, TAS and ACT: 8:00pm to 9:00pm
How much does it cost?
The cost of participating in this program is $387.96. Please contact us to arrange and confirm NDIS or self-funding.
Program of Support Terms and Conditions
This program will be delivered as a Program of Support under the NDIS. By enrolling in this program, you are committing to:
- Giving two weeks’ notice if you wish to withdraw your child or young person from the program.
- Being billed for the program if your child or young person is unable to attend.
All other terms and conditions which apply are included in your Service Agreement.
