Vision Australia Texpo and Open Day
You never know what you'll learn at Texpo!
Vision Australia's Texpo week is over. We had close to 2,500 people visit with the numbers being consistent with last year: Kooyong had 1,000 visitors; Coorparoo had 400 visitors; Enfield had 900 visitors. Once again, many visitors had much to praise about the informative displays and presentations, the diversity of exhibits, the friendliness and professionalism of staff and volunteers. Visitors came from as far as Adelaide, Cairns, Mildura and Hobart.
As usual there was something for everybody with the Apple accessibility presentations, Talking set top box and the ability to see all technology solutions and our services in one hit were the key positive points of feedback. A number of visitors actually came to Texpo on both days to see everything and follow up but then there were others who only stayed for an hour and got what they wanted.
Lots of people worked hard over the lead up to and during Texpo to make it such a success and we would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people and departments involved as it truly is an organisation-wide effort. A special thank you to the Texpo Organising Committee who worked hard over many months to deliver what was an overall fun and smooth-running event.
