What low vision services does Vision Australia offer?

The Low Vision Service is a program of integrated services provided by specialist staff to assist adults and school-aged children with low vision use their remaining vision more effectively.

Primarily, the service is centre based, however home based services are available in special circumstances. Services may also be provided in community settings, such as a school or workplace, as appropriate.

Low Vision Services focus on the needs that clients and their family or carer identify.

Information about a wide range of equipment is offered to help people realise their maximum vision potential. Advice about using magnification, lighting and contrast is given to assist people with activities like reading, writing and recreation.
