Anyone who is blind or has low vision is welcome to take advantage of these great specials.
The ski season is over but in conjunction with the Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort, Vision Australia is ensuring enhanced access for a wider population of people visiting Mt Baw Baw in Victoria - not just during the white season - but all year round.
As part of our commitment to ensuring greater access to recreational activities, Vision Australia has negotiated a range of free and discounted benefits for all people who are blind or have low vision at one of Victoria's great ski villages.
Anyone who is blind or has low vision is welcome to take advantage of these great specials which include:
- Free mid-week (Monday - Thursday) shared accommodation for people who are blind or have low vision and their party, at any time of the year, subject to availability. Maximum of 4 nights per person per year. This period of stay can be extended to include weekend accommodation at the individual's own expense.
- Free mid-week gate entry for vehicles carrying a person who is blind or has low vision staying at the Resort, capped at $100 per vehicle per week.
- Free lift tickets for guides accompanying people with a disability, (including those who are blind or have low vision).
- 30% discount per person for group snow sports instruction and private tuition for people who are blind or have low vision.
As part of our commitment to greater accessibility, Vision Australia will also provide orientation and mobility training for staff working at the Resort to ensure optimum access for people who are blind or have low vision.
