Deafblind Services

Vision Australia provides a specialised Deafblind Service to meet the needs of adults who are deafblind.
Vision Australia provides a specialised Deafblind Service, funded by the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care. It is designed to meet the specific needs of adults who are deafblind.
Specialist staff work in partnership with clients and their family/carers, to expand the choices and opportunities available to them in daily life. This is achieved through assessment, coordination and provision of services, as well as facilitating access to the community.
Currently, Deafblind Services are available to people of 16 years and over who live in the Sydney Metropolitan region and some surrounding areas. Specific eligibility and priority criteria exist.
