Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight® - 24 December 2009

Vision Australia's annual iconic event drew in a crowd of at least 10,000 who braved the rain to celebrate Christmas eve at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl and Federation Square. And what a Christmas eve it was!

Karl and Lisa kept the audience and viewers laughing despite the rain.

Anne Wood and Michael McCormick brought the crowd to tears with their beautiful duet.

John Foreman brought the orchestra to life.

Guy Sebastian added his unique style to a traditional carol.

Layla Bodnar, face of Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight, took centre stage.

There was no shortage of entertainment, both on and off the stage.

The colourful performance by Hi-5 brought Humphrey and Santa out to the stage.

Tim Campbell brought energy and excitement to the crowd with his entourage of dancers.

Voices were sweet when the Australian Girls Choir teamed up with the National Boys Choir of Australia.

Lorin Nicholson's talent on the guitar had a calming effect on the crowd.

Kids enjoyed the show from the big screen at Federation Square.

A sea of candles glowed brightly throughout the night.

Even Seeing Eye Dogs enjoyed the show!

Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight launch - 8 December 2009

Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight® launched its 72nd year with a "Ho ho ho" from Santa and a "Merry Christmas" from special guest stars, Anthony Callea, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Silvie Paladino, Australian Girls Choir and John Foreman at City Square on 8 December.
