Client News
Clients have told us that communication from Vision Australia needs to be:
- frequent
- relevant to local communities
- succinct
- produced quickly
As a result of that feedback, the quarterly Client Update will be replaced by a trial of a range of different communication strategies over the next few months. This will ensure that information is conveyed to as many clients in the most effective and efficient way possible.
Clients will be advised of this change during June 2010.
Vision Australia, together with the Client Representative Council, believes that there is not a 'one size fits all' solution to communicating effectively with clients. As such, Vision Australia will trial many different ways to engage with clients.
These multiple strategies will include:
- advertising in 29 Talking Newspapers in NSW and Victoria;
- advertising in Qld and ACT papers near Vision Australia's centres;
- providing a coordinated client information section on the website;
- using Vision Australia Radio, the RPH network and community radio stations to disseminate key information; leveraging the National Contact Centre's interaction with clients;
- using existing client email lists; notifying local centres of the latest information available to clients; and
- investigating new strategies such as recorded messages (used successfully in New Zealand), burn on demand and electronic noticeboards.
All Vision Australia staff are on hand to assist clients to access the information they need when they want it.
Clients, thank you for your feedback. We look forward to keeping you involved and up to date with the news you like to hear about Vision Australia.
